Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic Care for the Whole Family
in Lutz, FL

Gentle, precise and measured. We find what is driving your symptoms, correct it at the source, and only recommend the care your findings call for.

Our Philosophy

Precision Over Force

Most people picture chiropractic as a quick crack-and-pop visit that repeats every week. Our approach is different. Foundation Chiropractic is an upper cervical practice, which means every patient's care begins with a precise evaluation of the top of the neck, where the head balances on the spine and the brainstem becomes the spinal cord.

When the atlas sits out of position, the rest of the spine compensates. Shoulders tilt, the pelvis rotates and muscles tighten to keep your eyes level. Correcting that foundation with Upper Cervical Orthospinology often allows the spine below to settle on its own, so we can do less while achieving more.

From there, we add only what your findings call for: Spinal Remodeling Therapy for structural curve problems, spinal decompression for disc injuries, and supporting therapies to speed healing. Every recommendation is tied to something we measured, and we re-measure to make sure it is working.

What We Commonly Help With

  • •Neck pain and stiffness
  • •Chronic and recurring back pain
  • •Headaches and migraines
  • •Dizziness and vertigo
  • •Sciatica and radiating leg pain
  • •Poor posture and forward head carriage
  • •Disc bulges and herniations
  • •Shoulder and arm pain
  • •Auto accident and sports injuries
  • •Pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain

Care for Every Stage of Life

From Newborns to Grandparents

Because our corrections use light force and no twisting, they are suitable for nearly everyone. Dr. Brett Berner leads our upper cervical care, and Dr. Andrea Hutchinson brings a special focus on pregnancy and pediatrics, including the Webster Technique for expecting mothers.

Children's spines go through a lot, from birth itself to falls, sports and heavy backpacks. Pediatric care is adapted to each stage of development and is gentle enough for infants. During pregnancy, changing posture and pelvic balance can cause back pain and discomfort, and prenatal care focuses on keeping the pelvis balanced and comfortable.

For adults and seniors, we focus on what keeps you active: reducing pain, improving posture and balance, and helping you recover from injuries without relying on medication. Athletes and active adults benefit from care that supports performance and recovery.

Who We See

  • •Adults with chronic pain or recurring problems
  • •Infants, children and teens
  • •Expecting mothers in every trimester
  • •Seniors working on balance and mobility
  • •Athletes and active adults
  • •Car accident and work injury patients

We are a private-pay practice. That means more time with the doctor, no rushed insurance-driven visits, and a care plan designed around your needs rather than what a plan will cover. We provide detailed superbills so you can submit for out-of-network reimbursement.

Foundational Correction

How the Pieces of Your Care Fit Together

We call our approach Foundational Correction. It is built in layers, and not everyone needs every layer. Your examination tells us which ones apply to you.

The first layer is upper cervical alignment, corrected with Orthospinology. The second is spinal structure: if your X-rays show a lost neck curve, forward head posture or other curve problems, Spinal Remodeling Therapy uses specific traction and exercises to help restore healthier alignment over time. The third layer is tissue healing, where therapies such as spinal decompression, Class IV laser and shockwave can help injured discs, joints and soft tissues recover. Nutrition and nervous system support round things out when they are needed.

The Layers of Foundational Correction

  • •Upper cervical alignment: Orthospinology
  • •Spinal structure: Spinal Remodeling Therapy
  • •Disc and nerve relief: spinal decompression
  • •Tissue healing: laser and shockwave therapy
  • •Nervous system support: vagus nerve stimulation
  • •Nutritional support: Foundation Nutrition

Safety

Is Chiropractic Care Safe?

Chiropractic care has a strong safety record. The most common side effects of any spinal care are mild and temporary, such as soreness or tiredness for a day or so after a visit. Serious complications are rare.

Our approach is designed to keep risk as low as possible. Upper cervical corrections are delivered with a precision instrument at light force, with no rotation or high-velocity thrust to the neck. We take a thorough history and perform a full examination before any care, and we refer to a physician whenever we find something that needs medical evaluation first.

Getting Started

Your First Three Steps

No referral is needed to see a chiropractor in Florida. You can call or book online and start with a complimentary consultation, where we listen to your history and goals and make sure our approach is a good fit.

If it is, your next visit is a comprehensive examination with neurological and postural testing, thermal imaging and digital X-rays when clinically warranted. Finally, at a recommendation conference, we review every finding with you, explain what it means and lay out your options. You will leave with a clear understanding of what is going on, whether or not you choose to begin care.

What to Bring to Your First Visit

  • •A list of current medications and supplements
  • •Any recent imaging reports or discs
  • •Notes on when your symptoms started and what affects them
  • •Accident or claim information if you were injured in a car accident
  • •Comfortable clothing
