Precision Upper Cervical Care for Land O' Lakes

Land O' Lakes takes its name from the dozens of small lakes scattered across central Pasco County, and it has grown into one of the area's most popular places to raise a family, from established neighborhoods along US 41 to newer master-planned communities like Connerton and Bexley.

Foundation Chiropractic is an upper cervical practice. Instead of adjusting the whole spine at every visit, we focus on the atlas and axis at the top of the neck, measure their alignment precisely on X-ray, and correct them with Orthospinology, a gentle instrument-delivered correction with no cracking or twisting.

For Land O' Lakes residents, that means specialist care without the drive into Tampa. Many patients from Bexley, Connerton and the US 41 corridor reach us in about 10 to 20 minutes.

Life in Land O' Lakes

What We Most Often Help Land O' Lakes Patients With

Active, outdoor lifestyles are part of living here: boating, wakeboarding and fishing on the lakes, cycling the Suncoast Trail, and youth sports on weekends. Falls, collisions and repetitive strain from these activities are common sources of upper neck injury, and they often show up later as headaches, neck stiffness or dizziness.

We also see many young families. Dr. Andrea Hutchinson focuses on prenatal and pediatric care, using the Webster Technique to help keep the pelvis balanced during pregnancy, and gentle upper cervical corrections suitable for infants and children.

And like much of Pasco County, a lot of our Land O' Lakes patients commute toward Tampa each day. Long drives and desk work encourage forward head posture, which strains the upper neck and contributes to recurring headaches. Where that posture has become structural, Spinal Remodeling Therapy can help restore a healthier neck curve.

Office hours: Monday and Wednesday 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, Friday 8am to 12pm. Your first visit is a complimentary consultation.

Injuries from Active Living

Water, Trail and Field Injuries That Affect the Upper Neck

The upper neck is most vulnerable to fast, unexpected movement of the head. A hard fall from a wakeboard, a tumble off a bike, a collision on the soccer field or a rough tube ride can all whip the head and strain the ligaments around the atlas, even when nothing seems seriously hurt at the time.

Symptoms often appear days or weeks later and do not always feel like a neck problem. Headaches, dizziness, trouble concentrating or a sense that your head does not sit right can all follow these injuries. Children are especially good at bouncing back on the surface while carrying a misalignment underneath.

Signs Worth Getting Checked After a Fall or Impact

  • •Headaches that started after the injury
  • •Neck stiffness or reduced ability to turn the head
  • •Dizziness, unsteadiness or motion sensitivity
  • •A noticeable head tilt or one shoulder higher
  • •Trouble concentrating or unusual fatigue
  • •Jaw pain or clenching after a facial impact

Your First Visit

What to Expect When You Come In

Your care begins with a complimentary consultation to understand your history and goals. If upper cervical care looks like a good fit, your examination includes neurological and postural testing, thermal imaging and precise upper cervical X-rays when clinically warranted.

At a separate recommendation visit, we go through every finding with you and explain what we recommend and why. We only adjust when your measurements call for it, and we recheck after every correction so you can see objective progress. Because the drive from Land O' Lakes is short, many patients find it easy to fit visits around work and school.
