Upper Cervical Chiropractor
Serving Carrollwood

Carrollwood residents have plenty of chiropractors along Dale Mabry. When you need a precision upper cervical specialist, we are a straight shot up the Veterans Expressway.

Why Carrollwood Patients Come North

A Specialist Approach, Not Another Adjustment

Carrollwood is one of Tampa's most established communities, with tree-lined neighborhoods around Lake Carroll and Carrollwood Village and a busy commercial corridor along Dale Mabry Highway. General chiropractic offices are easy to find there.

What brings Carrollwood patients north to us is the specialty. Upper Cervical Orthospinology is our primary procedure. We measure the alignment of your atlas and axis on precise X-rays, calculate the exact correction your anatomy needs, and deliver it with a gentle instrument. There is no cracking, popping or twisting of the neck.

People typically find us after other care has helped only partly: migraines that keep returning, dizziness without a clear cause, symptoms that lingered after a concussion or car accident, or neck pain that comes right back after each adjustment. If that sounds familiar, the upper neck deserves a precise look.

Common Concerns

What Carrollwood Patients Most Often Bring Us

Many Carrollwood patients spend their days in offices in Westshore or downtown Tampa, and their evenings on Dale Mabry traffic. Hours of sitting, screens below eye level and stress all load the upper neck. Over time that shows up as forward head posture, tension at the base of the skull and headaches that build through the week.

We also see a steady number of patients after car accidents. Rear-end collisions are among the most common causes of upper cervical injury, and the effects are not always obvious right away. Headaches, dizziness, jaw pain and brain fog can develop days or weeks later. Precise imaging and thorough documentation help both recovery and insurance claims.

And we see patients with more complex, nervous-system-related symptoms such as migraines, vertigo and dysautonomia, who are looking for a careful, measured approach that works alongside their physicians.

Office hours: Monday and Wednesday 8am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm, Friday 8am to 12pm. Your first visit is a complimentary consultation.

Is It Worth the Drive?

How Upper Cervical Care Keeps Visits to a Minimum

A 20-minute drive is easier to commit to when you know you will not be making it three times a week indefinitely. Upper cervical care is designed around holding a correction. Each visit starts with a check of your measurements, and we only adjust when they show your atlas has shifted.

Early in care, while your correction is settling, visits are closer together. As it holds longer, they spread out, often to every few weeks and then to periodic checkups. You will receive a written plan at your recommendation visit so you know exactly what to expect before you begin.

What Sets Our Approach Apart

  • •Correction calculated from three precise X-ray views
  • •Gentle instrument correction, no neck twisting
  • •Adjusted only when measurements call for it
  • •Objective re-examinations to track progress
  • •A clear written plan before you start care

After an Accident

Upper Neck Injuries After a Collision

In a rear-end collision, the body is pushed forward while the head lags behind, then whips forward. The ligaments that hold the atlas in place take much of that force. Even a low-speed collision can shift the atlas enough to cause symptoms.

If you have been in an accident, see a physician first to rule out fractures and serious head injury. After that, an upper cervical evaluation can show whether your atlas and axis have shifted. We document every finding carefully, and Florida PIP insurance may cover care within its rules, so it is important not to wait.
