Frequently Asked Questions

Common Questions

What is the difference between Upper Cervical and Traditional Chiropractic?

Traditional chiropractic works on the whole spine and other joints in the body, using gentle pushes, twisting, or movements to improve spinal and joint function. Upper Cervical Chiropractic focuses specifically on just two bones at the top of the neck — C1 and C2 (the atlas and axis). It uses very gentle and precise adjustments with no twisting, cracking, or popping.

Does an Orthospinology adjustment hurt?

No. In fact, most patients are surprised by how gentle it is. Unlike traditional chiropractic, Orthospinology does not involve twisting, cracking, or popping the neck. The adjustment uses a precise instrument to deliver a gentle correction based on your individual X-rays and examination findings. Many patients barely feel the adjustment itself. Some describe it as light pressure or a gentle tap. Our goal is to make the correction as comfortable and precise as possible.

How much does an adjustment cost?

Office visit fees range from $85 for children to $95 for adults, covering both upper cervical and full-spine adjustments when needed. We offer complimentary consultations so you can speak with a doctor and get an accurate estimate before committing to anything.

Do you accept insurance?

We are a private-pay practice, so we're not in-network with insurance companies. However, we provide detailed billing statements with all the correct insurance codes, so you can submit them to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

Do I need a referral to see an upper cervical chiropractor?

No. You do not need a referral to schedule with us. You can book directly for a consultation, where we’ll review your history, answer your questions, and determine if upper cervical care may be a good fit for you.
